Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let not this blind you to what virtue there…

Whenever any of the family were on the road
Grandmother, would say….
“Let’s keep the one light on
So the traveler can make it home.”
When you stop to take a moment
Share your smile or hug with another
You are keeping the light burning brightly
Just like my Grand -Mother.
Keep the light on dear heart.
You can never know who is traveling down the road.
But, by keeping the light on, you are sharing the love.
You are lightening up their load.
Lord why didn’t you give me a gay child?
I would have loved a gay child
we could have attended museum openings,
shared tickets to the ballet
A gay child would have dressed well,
remembered birthdays
held open the door
eschewed facial hair
A gay child would not have a snake tatoo
encircling his bicep
but rather like his uncle
have picked pretty symbols, (the
celtic cross was nice, the green ink
more attractive.)
A gay child would have a job
in a clean industry
instead of shoveling asphalt
cracking open a beer
sunburn across the back of his head
Lord a gay child would have traveled with us
rather than announce
he is breeding cockroaches
to feed
the thirteen snakes
cages lining his living room.
A gay child would date
interesting boys who knew that the mother
is important
A gay child
does…

There was an unexpected laughter
in the middle of a song
There were tears in my memories
that thoughts of you brought along.
You have never even known
the love I held with in my heart
You disregarded me without even ever knowing
what makes me laugh or fart.
You in your infinite wisdom
never bothered to investigate.
What was beating within the heart
of the woman at the gate.
I thought of you today.
My heart was really in it.
I thought of you today.
And gave thanks, that I can heal from you,
this minute.

The childless couple
The loveless spinster
The lonely man on the road
They all have their dreams.
They all have their load.
By appearances their dreams
Have not come true
Who knows that for certain?
Do you?
Do you know what awaits them
Each night on the Inner:
The quiet, being, knowing seeing place
They go after dinner.
You cannot see that sacred space
Where the dreams they are dreaming
do have a time and place.
So instead of judging, condemning and avoiding them
because the are different;
Find out where they have been…
Learn from them the lessons:
Of taking life with a grin
Of joy in the moment
Of love of the sunsets
Of the laughter in rain.
These seemingly outcasts
Have love hard-wired on their brain.
Their Souls are filled with music.
They have compassion wit and charm.
They do not need your acceptance.
They wish you no harm.
Stop and take a moment.
Take a look in their eyes.
See life from within them.
You will surely be surprised.

Intense feelings are on the rise and what’s hidden beneath the surface is coming into consciousness. Saturday’s Full Moon (8:35pm PDT) is in Scorpio, an emotional Water sign with an affinity for the Underworld. Scorpio rules what is secret, taboo, dark and mysterious — what we typically stash in the subconscious because it’s too uncomfortable to acknowledge.
The Scorpio Moon opposes both the Sun and Jupiter in Taurus, highlighting the Taurus-Scorpio polarity — themes of sensuality and sexuality, money and other resources, values and meaning, and power. Scorpio is willing to sacrifice Taurus comfort and stability to uncover deeper authenticity, intimacy, passion and vitality.
I’ve already been feeling the force of this Full Moon for days, and for good reason. Let me count the ways:
The Full Moon coincides with the Moon’s perigee (closest proximity to Earth), making this a “Super Moon” — the biggest Full Moon…

Keep her heart inside your pocket, wear it like a golden locket.
Hold her when she needs to be, let her loose when she needs free.
Kiss her when the time is right, and always use your strength, your might
to send her all the swords that would defend her
as if she were your dream, your queen,
but most of all, let it be known, you placed your heart before that throne
and made your way to her. To home.
And slept in burning, eternal grace
while kissing again that pretty face.
